<br />054 <br /> <br />January 17. 2012 <br /> <br />At a Called Meeting of the City Council on Tuesday, January 17, 2012, there <br />were present: <br /> <br />Mayor Kenneth I. Wright, Vice Mayor Charles B. Whitehurst, Sr., William E. Moody, Jr., <br />Stephen E. Heretick, Paige D. Cherry, Dr. Curtis E. Edmonds, Sr., City Manager <br />Kenneth L. Chandler, City Attorney G. Timothy Oksman. <br /> <br />12 - 27 - The following call for the meeting was read: <br /> <br />"Please attend a Called Meeting of the City Council to be held at I. C. Norcom <br />High School, 1801 London Boulevard, 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 17, 2012 for the <br />purpose of a Community Meeting. <br /> <br />II In addition, you may consider a motion to go into a Closed Meeting. <br />II <br />I By order of the Mayor." <br /> <br />The following concerns were discussed by citizens: <br /> <br />1. Parking in Olde Towne. <br /> <br />2. The proposed sulfur plant. <br /> <br />3. Tolls on the tunnels. <br /> <br />4. Helping teenagers in the community. <br /> <br />5. Community officers. <br /> <br />6. Dispelling negative perceptions of the city. <br /> <br />7. Downtown traffic signals. <br /> <br />~ Mr. Moody asked for consensus of City Council to direct the City Attorney to draft a <br />resolution opposing the proposed sulfur plant. <br /> <br />I .
