Barnes <br /> <br /> 87-451 - The following call for the meeting was read: <br /> <br /> :'Please attend a called meeting of the City Council to be held <br />in the City Council/City Manager Conference Room, 6th ~loor of City <br />Hall, 801 Cra~ford Street, at A:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 20, 198[ <br />for the purpose of considering a motion to go into an executive <br />session. <br /> <br /> By order of the MKyor." <br /> <br /> The following written consent of all of the members of City <br />Council to waive the 24 hour notice was received: <br /> <br /> "A~-the call of the Mayor a notice for a meeting to be held <br />on Tuesday, October 20, 1987, at ~:00 p.m. was isgue~ for t~e pur- <br />pose of c6nsidering a mot2on zo go into an Executive Session. <br />Consent ~s here by given by all of the members of the City Council <br />to also hold a public work session on the Capital Improvement Pro- <br />gram at said called meeting." <br /> <br /> Councilmgn Barnes signe~ tqe ~aiver in the presence of the City <br />Clerk at the h.osp~tai. <br /> <br /> A public work session was held on the funding for the 1987-92 <br />CIP, as :reoommended hy the Municipal Finance Commission. <br /> <br /> 87-452 Motion of Mr. Gray and seconded by Mrs. Lucas, to go <br />into an executive session in accordance with Section 2.1-344 of the <br />Code of Virginia to discuss the following: <br /> <br /> 1. The condition, acquisition and use of real property for <br />public purposes as permitted under subsection (a) (2); <br /> <br /> 2. Consideration of a personnel matter as permitted under <br />subsection (~a) <br /> <br /> 3. Consultation with City Attorney and briefing by staff <br />members pertaining to actual or potential litigatiqn or ~ther legal <br />matters within the jurisdiction of the City Council as permitted <br />under subsection (a) (6); <br /> <br /> 4. The disposition of publicly held property as permitted <br />under subsection (a) (2); <br /> <br /> 5.
