G. <br />Corprew, Jr., J. Robert Gray, L. Louise Lucas, <br />J. Herbert Simpson, Gloria O. Webb, George L~ <br />Hanbury II, City Manage~, Steven Li~berman, City <br />Attorney. <br /> <br />87-466 The following call for the meeting was read: <br /> <br /> ~Please attend a special meeting of the City Council to be <br />held at the Briefing Center of Central Fidelity Bank Building, <br />3rd floor, High and Crawford Streets, Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />Wednesday, November 4, 1987, at 7:00 p.m. for the purpose of a <br />joint meeting of the City Council and Board of Directors of the <br />Portsmouth General Hospital. <br /> <br /> In addition, you may consider a motion to go into an <br />executive session. <br /> <br />By order of the Mayor." <br /> <br /> C. Edward Russell, Chairman, and Members of the Portsmouth <br />General Hospital Board, were present. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mrs. Lucas and seconded by Mrs. Webb, to go into <br />an executive session in accordance with Section 2.1-344 of the <br />Code of Virginia to discuss the following: <br /> <br /> 1. Consultation with City Attorney and briefing by staff <br />members pertaining to actual or potential litigation or other <br />legal matters within the jurisdiction of the City Council as <br />permitted under subsection (a) (6); <br /> <br /> 2.
