<br />012 <br /> <br />October 25. 2011 <br /> <br />11 - 435 - Items Submitted by Council Members <br /> <br />~ Mayor Wright spoke on the following: <br />News article written in the Currents by Ida Kay Jordan acknowledging the <br />citizens as the wealth of the City. <br />- Scott's Creek Clean Scott's Creek Day and thanked volunteers for their help. <br />- The success of the Farmer's Market. <br />- Coming Home to Cradock event. <br /> <br />~ Mr. Moody recognized Scout Master Roberts for his 37 years of volunteerism with <br />the Coming Home to Cradock event. He also gave an update on the status of the <br />missing corner stone of Cradock High School. <br /> <br />~ Mayor Wright informed City Council and citizens of the 94th Anniv~rsary of New <br />Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church. <br /> <br />11 - 436 - Report on Pending Items <br /> <br />. Bernadette Hogge, Ombudsman, gave an update on items of concern presented by <br />citizens at the October 11, 2011 City Council Meeting. <br /> <br />11 - 437 - Non-Agenda Speakers <br /> <br />1. Roscoe Williams, 1612 Lansing Avenue, voiced his concern with a tree on city <br />property and also with the drainage system in his neighborhood. <br /> <br />2. Clyde Toler, 1029 Blair Street, voiced his concern with various issues within the City. <br /> <br />3. Chris Horton, 1500 Leckie Street, wanted to raise awareness with regards to <br />organizing neighborhood cleanups. <br /> <br />4. Larry Scott, 5817 Brookmere Lane, voiced his concern with the Social Security <br />offset. <br /> <br />5. Juanita Bryant, 2115 Evergreen Place, asked for help in repairing her driveway. <br /> <br />6. Alvin Morrison, 1616 Atlantic Avenue, voiced his concern with various issues within <br />the City. <br /> <br />7. Pastor Kevin Kelly, 4404 Southampton Arch, informed City Council of the dangerous <br />conditions along Cedar Lane. <br /> <br />8. Lawrence Brown, 5729 Craneybrook Lane, wanted to know when questions would <br />be answered with regards to the Portsmouth Supplemental Retirement System <br />(PSRS). <br /> <br />9.
