<br />September 27.2011 <br /> <br />1. The City Manager is authorized and directed to execute and deliver a <br />Revised Interim Agreement with Lincoln Property Company Southwest, Inc., the <br />Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority, and the Greater Portsmouth <br />Development Authority related to development of the Crawford Point site. The <br />agreement shall be substantially the same as that which is attached hereto and <br />approved by the City Attorney. <br /> <br />2. The City Manager and City Attorney shall provide monthly status reports <br />on the matter to City Council. <br /> <br />3. This resolution shall take effect on the date of its adoption." <br /> <br />Ayes: Cherry, Edmonds, Heretick, Moody, Randall, Whitehurst, Wright <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />- New Business - <br /> <br />11 - 408 - Boards and Commissions <br /> <br />There were no appointments <br /> <br />11 - 409 - Items Submitted by Council Members <br /> <br />Motion by Mr. Heretick, and seconded by Mr. Moody, to amend the agenda to <br />consider a motion to accept the conveyance of real property to the City of Portsmouth <br />by the Portsmouth Port and Industrial Commission (PPIC) and the Economic <br />Development Authority, and was adopted by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes: Cherry, Edmonds, Heretick, Moody, Randall, Whitehurst, Wright <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />Motion by Mr. Whitehurst, and seconded by Mr. Edmonds, that the City Manager <br />and City Attorney be directed to accept from the Portsmouth Economic Development <br />Authority and the Portsmouth Port and Industrial Commission the Frederick Boulevard <br />properties that these two organizations acquired at their own expense several years <br />ago, and was adopted by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes: Cherry, Edmonds, Heretick, Moody, Randall, Whitehurst, Wright <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />'" Mayor Wright recognized and congratulated the following: <br />Councilwoman Randall for being honored as a History Maker. <br />Jerry Bridges, Executive Director of the Virginia Port Authority, being named <br />Chairman of the Board for the American Association of Port Authority. <br />Cynthia Morrison, Clerk of the Court, being elected President of the Court Clerk's <br />Association. <br />Earle Mobley, Commonwealth's Attorney, being recognized by Virginia Wesleyan <br />College as the Distinguished Alumnus of the Year. <br /> <br />11 - 410 - Report on Pending Items <br /> <br />. Bernadette Hogge, Ombudsman, gave an update on items of concern presented by <br />citizens at the September 13, 2011 City Council Meeting. <br /> <br />11 - 411 - Non-Agenda Speakers <br /> <br />1. Travis Lee, 15205 Newbill Lane, Carrolton, asked that City Council follow through <br />with the resolution to eliminate the Social Security offset. <br /> <br />2. Clyde Toler, 1029 Blair Street, voiced his concern with various issues within the City. <br />
