<br /> "The Comprehensive annual Financial RepOrt (CAFR) of the
<br />City of Portsmouth for the fiscal year ended June 30,1987, is
<br />herewith submitted in accordance with the provisions of the
<br />City Code. The report was prepared by the Department of
<br />Finance in accOrdance with generally accepted accounting
<br />principles.

<br /> In addition to the auditor's opinion contained on page 1
<br />of the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report, the Report-of
<br />Auditor required by Section 15,1,167 of the code of Virginia,
<br />1950, as amended, includes the management letter~ the Financial
<br />compliance~Report for Federal Funds (Single Audit), and the
<br />Schedules of the Treasurer's Accountability, These documents
<br />for the fiscal year ended June 30, 1987 are enclosed for'your
<br />information. Also enclosed are the Portsmouth Parking
<br />Authority Financial Statements and Schedules as of June 30,
<br />1987, including the auditor's report thereon. In accordance
<br />with Section 11-43 of the City COde, the Quarterly Financial
<br />Report for the period ended September 30, 1987 is also herein
<br />submitted.
