577 <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Williams and seconded by Mr. Corprew, that the <br />lease agreement concerning Bide-A-Wee Golf Club be terminated <br />immediately, was defeated by the fOlloWing vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes: Corprew, Lucas, Williams <br /> Nays: Barnes, Gray, SimPson, Webb <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Williams and seconded by Mr. Corprew, that <br />the City Attorney not be involved in the negotiations of the <br />Bide-A-Wee lease. <br /> <br /> Substitute motion of Mrs. Lucas and seconded by Mr. Barnes, <br />to meet in executive session to consider the matter of the City <br />Attorney being further involved with the negotiations of <br />Bide-A-Wee, and was adopted by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes: Barnes, Gray, Lucas, Webb <br />Nays: Corprew~ Simpson, Williams <br /> <br /> 88-44 - Leslie R. French, III, 208 Glasgow Street, <br />representing Federation Of Civic Clubs, spOke concerning the <br />Kings Crossing development With reference to architectural <br />changes being made. <br /> <br /> 88-45 - George M. Rose, 6407 Portsmouth Blvd., spoke <br />concerning monies spent on golf courses in the City. <br /> <br /> 88-46 - Jessie Overton, 82 Ericsson Street, spoke concerning <br />appointments to the Board of Zoning Appeals. <br /> <br /> 88-47 - Mr. Corprew stayed he voted no to the new Churchland <br />High School appropriation because of 1) the uncertainity of the <br />sale and development of the old school site, and 2) the School <br />Board is in the middle of a Facilities Study which should be <br />completed before any new construction is committed to. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Corprew and seconded by Mr. Williams, that the <br />rezoning of the property of the old school site, be processed <br />as soon as possible, and was adopted by 6-1 (Nay-Simpson) vote. <br /> <br /> On motion meeting adjourned at 10:55 p.m. <br /> <br /> APPROVED <br /> <br /> Mayor <br /> <br />citY C1 e rk~/L/-/ <br /> <br /> <br />
