Hanbu~y, City Manager, Steven Lieberman, City Attorney · *Absent: Mayor Gloria O. Webb, J. Herbert Simpson, LaMar Williams 88-140 - The following call for the meeting was read: "Please attend a called meeting of the City Council to be held in the Council Conference Room, 6th floor of City Hall, 801 Crawford Street, at 4:30 p.m., Monday, April 11, 1988, for the purpose of a public work session for a presentation by representatives from the Medical College of Hampton Roads, and briefing by the City Manager. In addition you may a consider a motion to go into an executive session. By order of the Mayo_. 88-t40a - A public work session was held with a presentation on the Medical College of Hampton Roads budget and program strategy by Ashton Lewis~ Dr. Donald Combs, Dr, Richard Lester, Mr. Herbert Bangel.~ The City Manager briefed Council on the request for donations from various organizations. 88-141 - Motion of Mr. Gray and seconded by Mrs. Lucas, to go into an executive session in accordance with Section 2.1-344 of the Code of Virginia to discuss the following: 1. The condition, acquisition and use of real property for public purposes as permitted under subsection (a) (2); 2. Consideration of a personnel matter as permitted under subsection (a) (1); 3. Consultation with City Attorney and briefing by staff members pertaining to actual or potential litigation or other legal matters within the jurisdiction of the City Council as permitted under subsection (a) (6);
