Corprew~ ~r.~LaMar Williams ~ <br /> <br />88-144 - The following call for the meeting was read: <br /> <br /> "Please attend a called meeting of the City Council to be <br />held in the Council Conference Room, 6th floor of City Hall, 801 <br />Crawford Street, at 4:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 12, 1988, for the <br />purpose of an appeal'from the~Downtown D-1 District Design <br />Committee. <br /> <br /> In addition you may consider a motion to go into an executiv~ <br />session~ ..... - ~ ~ <br /> <br />By Order of the Ma,;or," <br /> <br />88-145(a) - A public work session was held for the following <br /> <br /> An appeal by Kotarides Baking Company (represented by John <br />E. Pappas their attorney) for placing barbed wire on top of a <br />fence. <br /> <br />John E. Pappas, requested a deferral. <br /> <br />Council agreed to defer the~matter to a later date. <br /> <br /> The City Engineer briefed Council on River Pointe develop- <br />ment. <br /> <br /> The City Manager briefed Council on a parking district for <br />Sycamore Road. <br /> <br /> The City Manager announced the time change in for the <br />presentation of the Budget, the proposed trip on the USS iowa, <br />and information on the Constitution Officer's Budget. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mrs. Lucas and seconded by Mr. Gray, to go into an <br />Executive Session in accordance with Section 2.1-344 of the Code <br />of Virginia to discuss the following: <br /> <br /> 1. The condition, acquisition and use of real property for <br />public purposes as permitted under subsection (a) (2); <br /> <br /> 2. Consideration of a personnel matter as permitted under <br />subsection (a) (1); <br /> <br /> 3. Consultation with City Attorney and briefing by staff <br />members pertaining to actual or potential litigation or other <br />legal matters within the jurisdiction of the City Council as <br />permitted under subsection (a~ (6); <br /> <br /> <br />
