<br />would be necessary for him to leave the meeting by 8:00 p.m. for

<br /> 88-244 (a) Presentation by Mayor Webb to Councilman LaMar
<br />Williams of a Robert Burnell print for his service to the
<br />community ~duri:ng' h~is appointment to Council.~~- Councilman
<br />williams expressed his, Gratitude'for the gift-and his. pleasure
<br />at having been able to serve on Council.

<br />the U.S. Petanque Champions, East Coast. Present from Club de

<br /> 88-192 (a) - Consideration~:of~ revis!ion-,of the ordinance to
<br />appropriate funds necessary for operation of the City Government
<br />for and during the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1988 and ending
<br />June 30, 1989, deferred from the regular meeting-of June 14,
<br />1988. ~
<br />
<br />The following citizen spoke concerning the budget:
<br />
<br /> Leo G. Ruffing, 3500 Doerr Road, representing the Flynn
<br />Home.
<br />
<br /> The matter was referred to the City Manager for review and
<br />contact with Mr. Ruffing.
<br />
<br /> Mr. Hanbury spoke concerning the additional $850,000 being
<br />considered for the School budget, $350,000 for the drug program,
<br />and increasing the pay plan by $286,000 to allow for a 4.4% pay
<br />increase for City employees.
<br />
<br /> Motion of Mr. Barnes and seconded by Mrs. Lucas to approve
<br />the additional funding to the 1988/89 Fiscal Budget and was
<br />approved on first reading, by 6-1 vote, (Nay-Corprew).
