425 February 8. 2011 At a Called Meeting of the City Council on Tuesday, February 8, 2011, there were present: Mayor Kenneth I. Wright, Vice Mayor Charles B. Whitehurst, Sr., William E. Moody, Jr., *Marlene W. Randall, Paige D. Cherry, *Dr. Curtis E. Edmonds, Sr., City Manager Kenneth L. Chandler, City Attorney G. Timothy Oksman. 11 - 63 - The following call for the meeting was read: "Please attend a Called Meeting of the City Council to be held in the 6th Floor Conference Room, 801 Crawford Street, 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 8, 2011 for the purpose of a Public Work Session. In addition, you may consider a motion to go into a Closed Meeting. By order of the Mayor." 11 - 64 - The following items were discussed in Public Work Session: 1. The Page Document - Lenora Reid, Controller 2. Financial Report - Betty Burrell, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) 3. Schools Capital Improvement Program - Betty Burrell, CFO 4. City Council liaison Reports - Vice Mayor Whitehurst - . Provided Council with information on legislative bills that need attention. Councilman Cherry- . Requested that Council have sessions with the General Assembly members before, during, and after the session to enhance communication. Councilman Moody - . Briefed Council on the Sandler meeting pertaining to flooding in the Highland Biltmore area. Mayor Wright - . Updated Council on the meeting he had with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the woodchip factory discussing the project proposed in the Cradock area. On motion, meeting adjourned.
