Griffin, Sr;, Cameron C. Pitts, P. Ward <br /> Robinett, Jr, J. Thomas Benn Ill, William E: Moody, Jr,, Charles B. Whitehurst, St,, City <br /> Manager Ronald W. Massie. <br /> <br /> 00 - 185 - The following call for the meeting was read: <br /> <br /> "Please attend a Called Meeting of the CitY Council to be held in the City <br /> Manager's Conference Room, 801 Crawford Street, 6th floor, 12:00 noon, Monday, July <br /> 31, 2000, for the purpose of a Closed Session. <br /> <br /> By order of the Mayor." <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Pitts, and seconded by Mr. Robinett, to go into Closed Meeting <br /> pursuant to provisions of Section 2.1-344(A) of the Code of Virginia, to discuss or <br /> consider the following: <br /> <br /> employee personnel matters, as authorized by paragraph 1. <br /> <br /> The motion was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Moody, and seconded by Mr. Whitehurst, pursuant to Section 2.1- <br /> 344.1(D) of the Code of Virginia, certifYing that to the best of the Council Member's <br /> knowledge durlng the immediately preceding ClOsed Meeting of the City Council: <br /> <br /> 1. Only public business matters lawfully exempted from open meeting <br /> requirements by the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, and <br /> <br /> 2.
