Steve Lieberman, City Attorney ~,~ ~ ........ - UNFINISHED BUSINESS 88-338 - Public Hearing on a group housing project appl ica t ion: - - (e) GHP-88-5 HIGHLAND NEIGHBORHOOD - Group housing project application of Bayside Building Corporation, by Hoggard/Eu~ Associates; for 108 apartment units in five, three story buildings at 10~ Elliott Avenue. DEFERRED FROM SEPT. ~12, 1988 PUBLIC HEARING MEETING. Wendell White, 4681 Investors Place, Virginia Beach, representing Bayside Building, spoke in support of the ~roup housing.application. Don Williams, 809 West Ocean View Avenue,.Norfolk, representing Bayside Building Corporation, spoke in support of the group housing application. Bill Watson, 200 Gee Street, representing Highland Biltmore Civic League, spoke in support of the group housing application. Motion of Mr. Simpson and seconded by Mr. HaWks, to approve the group housi,ng application failed to pass and by the following vote: Ayes: Barnes, Hawks, Simpson Nays: Corprew, Gray, Lucas, Webb Motion of Mr. Barnes and seconded by Mrs. Lucas, the group housing application until October 25, 1988, adopted by unanimous vote. to defer and was - NEW BUSINESS - of 88-374 (a) - Public Hearing on a use permit application: UP-88-12 CHURCHLAND NEIGHBORHOOD - Use permit application of Temple Sinai, by Judith L. Fagan, Director of the Kittredge School, to operate a private pre-school at 4401 Hatton Point Road. William E. Moore, 4401 Point West Drive, spoke in support the use permit application.
