Hanbury, II, City <br /> Manager~Steven,Lieberman, City Attorney. <br /> <br /> 88-376 - The following call for the meeting was read: <br /> <br /> "Please attend~a called meeting-or, the City Council to. be <br />held in the Council~Conference Room, 6th floor of City. Halt, 801 <br />Crawford Street, at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 11, 1988, for the <br />purpose of a Public Work Session. <br /> <br /> In addition, you:may consider a motion to go-into <br />Executive Session. <br /> <br />an- <br /> <br />By~.o~e~of th~.Mayor <br /> <br /> 88-377 - A Public Work Session was held to discuss the <br />following items: <br /> <br />1. Human Relations Commission <br /> <br />2. Human Services Needs Study <br /> <br />3. Humane Society Report <br /> <br />4~ Explanation of Tax Refunds <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Barnes and seconded by Mrs. Lucas, to move <br />discussion of the Humane Society Report to the beginning of the <br />work session, and was adopted by unanimous vote (Mr. Corprew had <br />not yet arrived). <br /> <br /> V. Wayne Orton, Assistant City Manager, gave a <br />presentation to Council on the Humane Society Report. <br /> <br /> Council discussed a draft ordinance forming a Human <br />Relations Commission, <br /> <br /> V~ Wayne Orton, Assistant City Manager, gave a <br />presentation to Council on the Human Services Needs Study. <br /> <br /> George L. Hanbury, II, City Manager, gave an explanation <br />to Council on the Tax Refunds listed on the agenda. <br /> <br />On motion meeting adjourned. <br /> <br />APPROVED -~ <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br />Councilman Corprew arrived for the Public Work Session at <br />5:00 p.m. <br /> <br /> <br />
