Appeals; In addition, you may consider a motion to go into an Executive Session. By order of th~.Mayoro" A Public Work Session was held for the appeal from A. L. Spires, regarding a decision of the Commission of Architectural Review for Port Norfolk and Parr Vi~'w, denying the replacement of the metal roof on the porch of 135 Mt. Vernon Avenue with Fiberglas shingles, deferred from the September 27, 1988~Public Work Session. 88-401 - Motion of Mr. Gray and seconded by Mr. Hawks, to concur with the Commission of Architectural Reviaw for Port Norfolk and Park View to deny the appeal of A.L. Spires, 135 Mt. Vernon Avenue, and was adopted by the following vote: Ayes: Barnes~ Gray, Hawks, Webb Nays: Corprew A Public Work Session was held for the appeal from T.J. Murphy, ~egarding a decision of the Commission of Architectural Review for Port Norfolk and Park View, denying the in-place turn style porch balustrades on the porch of 227 Chautauqua Avenue. 88-402 - Motion of Mr. Hawks and seconded by Mr. Gray, to concur with the Commission of Architectural Review for Port Norfolk and Park View to deny the appeal of T.J. Murphy, 227 Chautauqua Avenue. Mr. Hawks withdrew his motion an~ Mr. Gray withdrew his second. Motion of Mr. Gray and seconded by Mr. Barnes, to defer the matter until the November 8th meeting, and was adopted by unanimous vote. ~ 88-403 - Motion of Mrs. Lucas and seconded by Mr. Gray to go into Executive Session in accordance with Section 2.1-344 of the code of Virginia to discuss the following: 1. Consideration, acquisition and use of real property for public purposes as permitted under subsection (a) (2); 2. Consideration of a personnel matter as permitted under subsection (a) (1); 3. Consultation with City Attorney and briefing by staff members pertaining to actual or potential litigation or other legal matters within the jurisdiction of the City Council as permitted under subsection (a) (6);
