Murphy, regarding a decision o~ the Co~mission of <br />Architectural Review for Port Norfolk and Park View, denying <br />the in-pbace~turn style po~¢h balustrades on the porch of <br />227 Chautauqua Avenue and deferted from the Public Work Session <br />of Octobe:r 25, 1988. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Hawks and seconded by Mr. Barnes to concur <br />with the ~Commission Of Architectural Review for Port Norfolk <br />and Park View to demy ~he appeal of T. J. Murphy, 227 <br />Chautauqua Avenue, and was adopted by 6-0 vote ( <br /> <br /> 2~ A Public Work Session was held on the report regarding <br />the development of the north shore of Scott's Creek. A <br />presentation was made by Jerry Burgess, Director of Economic <br />Development and Benjamin J. Levy, Chairman of the Industrial <br />Development Authority. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Hawks and seconded by Mr. Gray to endorse <br />the Plan in concept and for plans to be made to sched~le~ the <br />necessary Public Hearings and was adopted by 6-1 vote <br />(Corprew). <br /> <br /> 3. Delegat~o~Kenneth Melvin discussed with the Council his <br />proposed changes to the City Charter. <br /> <br /> 88-434 - Motion of Mrs. Lucas and seconded by Mr. Barnes <br />to go into Executive Session in accordance with Section 2.1-344 <br />of the Code of Virginia to discuss the following: <br /> <br /> 1. Consideration, acquisition and use of real property <br />for public purposes as permitted under subsection (a) (2); <br /> <br /> 2. Consideration of a personnel matter as permitted under <br />subsection (a) (1); <br /> <br /> <br />
