Webb, Jack P. Barnes, E. G~ .Corprewi Jr.,* <br />J. Robert Gray, James C. Hawks, L. Louise Lucas, George L. <br /> <br />Hanbury, II, City Manager, Steven Lieberman, City Attorney <br /> <br />Absent: ** J. Herbert Simpson <br /> <br />88-472 The following cal'l for the meelting- was read: <br /> <br /> "Please attend a special meeting of the City Council to be <br />held at the Obici House, Suffolk, Virginia, at 3:00 p.m. on <br />Wednesday, November 30, 1988, and Thursday, December 1, 1988, <br />for the purposes of meeting with Robert E. Matson and <br />discussing Council organization, operations, objections and <br />goals. <br /> <br /> In addition, you may consider a motion to go into an <br />executive session, to discuss personnel and legal matters. <br /> <br />By order of the Mayor." <br /> <br />Council met in Public Session with Robert E. Matson. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Barnes seconded by Mr. Gray to go into an <br />executive session in accordance with Section 2.1-344 of the <br />Code of Virginia to discuss the following: <br /> <br /> 1. Consideration of a personnel matter as permitted under <br />subsection (a) (1); <br /> <br /> 2. Consultation with City Attorney and briefing by staff <br />members pertaining to actual or potential litigation or other <br />legal matters within the jurisdiction of the City Council as <br />permitted under subsection (a) (6). <br /> <br /> 3. Consideration of a personal matter involving the <br />protection of the privacy of individuals not related to public <br />business. (a) (4). <br /> <br />Motion adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br /> 88-473 - Council met in Public Session with Robert E. <br />Matson <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Hawks and seconded by Mrs. Lucas to go into <br />an executive session in accordance with Section 2.1-344 of the <br />Code of Virginia to discuss the following: <br /> <br /> <br />
