282 December 13, ~1988 - UNFINISHED BUSINESS - 88-459 - The following ordinance approved on first reading at the regular meeting of November. 22., 1988, was taken up and read: "AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $183,500. FROM THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND FOR THE MOUNT HERMON STREET AND DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT, PHASE VI." On moti~ of Mr. Simpson and seconded by Mr. Hawks the ordinance was adopted on final reading, and by the following vote::. : Ayes: Barnes, Corprew, Gray, Hawks, Lucas, Simpson, Webb Nays: None. 88-461- (c) ~ The following ordinance approved on first reading at th~eg~lar me~tin~ of November 22, 1988, was. taken up and read: "AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $1,:541,000. FROM THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT FUND FOR THE 1989 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT-PROGRAM." On motion of Mr. Gray and seconded by Mr. Barnes the ordinance was adopted on final reading, and by the following vote: Ayes: Ba-rnes, Corprew, Gray, Hawks, Lucas, Simpson, Webb Nays: None 88-463 (a) - The following ordinance approved on first reading at the regular meeting of November 22, 1988, was taken up and read: "AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $16,000 FROM THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND FOR AN OPTION TO PURCHASE FROM THE PORTSMOUTH INDUSTRIAL FOUNDATION, INC.~ A SITE .FOR THE NEW CHURCHLAND HIGH SCHOOL." ~ On motion of Mr. Gray and seconded by Mr. Hawks the ordinance was adopted on final reading, and by the following vote: AyeS: Barnes, Gray, Hawks~ Lucas, Simpson, Webb Nays: Corprew 88-471 - Resolution appointing viewers for closing a portion of Jamestown Avenue. (Deferred from the regular meeting of November 22, 1988) "Quarterly Century Corporation has made application to vacate a portion of Jamestown Avenue.' The Notice of Application and Request for Appointment of Viewers has been advertised. Please be advised that this matter was deferred from the November 22, 1988 meeting. I recommend adoption of the resolution appointing viewers for this application."
