325 <br /> <br />January 10, 1989 <br /> <br /> In addition to the auditor's opinion contained on page 1 of <br />the Comprehensive Annual' Ffnancial Report, the Report of Auditor <br />required by Section 15.1-167 of the code of Virginia, 1950, as <br />amended, includes the Financial Compliance Report for Federal <br />Funds (Single Audit), the Schedules of the Treasurer's <br />Accountability, and the Management Letter. These documents for <br />the fiscal year ended'June 30, 1988 are enclosed for your <br />information. Also enclosed'are the Portsmouth'Parking Authroity <br />Financial Statem, ents and Schedules as of June 30, 1988, includin( <br />the autitor's report thereon. In accordance-with-Section 11-43 <br />the City Code, the Quarterly Financial Report for ther period <br />ended September 30, 1988 is also herein submitted. <br /> <br /> I would like to acknowledge and extend special recognition <br />the staff of the Department of Finance for their efficient and <br />dedicated services which have made possible the compilation of <br />these financial reports.. If you have any questions concerning <br />these reports., please ~eel free to let me know. <br /> <br /> I recommend that the City Council adopt a mottion to receive <br />these reports as informabion and 4o refer thereto the Muncipal <br />Finance Commission." <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Barnes and seconded by Mr. Gray, to receive <br />reports and statements as information and that they be referred <br />the Municipal Finance Commission, and was adopted by unanimous <br />vote. <br /> <br /> 89-20 - Letter from the City Manager recommending adoption oJ <br />a motion for the City Treasurer and the Director of Finance to <br />refund (without interest the following: <br /> <br />Real Estate Taxes <br /> <br />$157.44 to Dominion Bankshare Mortgage Corp. <br />$170.85 to Jefferson B.
