Janua____ry 1~, 1989 89-14 - Letter from the City Manager recommending adoption of an ordinance to amend the Cods ~of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, 1973, by amending Section 24-100 (a) thereof, pertaining to fees for Cit~ Golf CO~rse. ~ "At City Park Golf Course there is an annual fee of $85 for students which allows for unlimited play. The annual fee at Sleepy Hol~ Golf Course has varied over the past five years and is cur~htly~'~40' for students. I concur that the annual rate at City Park should b~at'!east the same as.that at Sleepy Hole and would therefore recommend that the fee schedule be amehded to reflect the same rates for students. I should note that all golf fees will be evaluated as ~art of the FY 89-90 budget review process and may result in thsS~r~%es being increased." on.'~o~on of Mr. Gray aRd~seconded b~ Mr.~ B~rn~, the following ordinance was adopted on first and final reading, and the following vote: "AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CODE OF T~E CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA, 1973, BY AMENDING SECTION 24-100 (A) THEREOF, PERTAINING TO FEES FOR CITY PARK GOLF COURSE." Ayes: Barnes, Corprew, Gray, Hawks, Lucas, Simpson, Webb Nays': None ~ 89-15 - Letter from the City Manager recommending adoption a resolution authorizing the City Manager to s~gn~ an easemment agreement with Virginia Natural Gas Corporation (Suffolk Gas ~orporation) on property adjacent to Pitchkettte Road in Suffolk. "Im-the early 1970's Portsmouth conveyed 'as.easement to the Suffolk Gas Company for a 4" high pressure main crossing Portsmouth's watershed property adjacent and parallel to Pitchkettle Road in Suffolk. Suffolk Gas apparently newer properly executed nor recorded this easement even though the line was installed. With Suffolk Gas' merger with Virginia Natural set for January 1, 1989, they have requested that the easement be redrawn and properly recorded.
