307 ].a:nuary 10, 1989 At a called meeting of the City Council held~on Tuesday, January 10, 1989, there were present: Mayor Gloria O. Webb, J. Robert Gray, James C. Hawks, L. Louise Lucas, J. Herbert Simpson, GeoTge L.~ Hanbury, City. Manager, Steven~Lieberman, City Attorney. Absent: Jack P. Barnes,* E. G. Corprew, Jr. ** 89~4 - The following call for the meeting was read: "Please attend a special called meeting of the City Council to be held in the Council Conference Room, 6th floDr of'City Hall, 801 CraWford Street, at 4:30 p.~., Tuesday, Janu~Ty 10, 1989, for the p~rpos~ of a Public Work Session concerning the recommendatibns of the Mayor's 'Drug Task ~orce."' ' In addition, you may consider a motion to g0~into an Executive Session. By order of the MayorV" Chief of Police, Joseph Koziol, gave a presentation on the Drug Enforcement Program. Motion of Mr. Hawks and seconded by Mr. Simpson,- to give consent for Mr. Hanbury to review CIP funding, and was adopted by unanimous vot~e. CIP funding was reviewed by Council~ Motion of Mrs. Lucas and seconded by Mr. Gray, to go into an executive~session in~'ccofdanc'e~witb Section 2.1-344 ~f the Code of Virginia to discuss-the following: 1. Consideration, acquisition and use'of real property for public purposes as permitted under subsection (a) (2); 2. Consideration-of a personnel matter as permitted under subsection (a) (1 ; Consultation with City Attorney and briefing by staff members pertaining to actual or potentia~ litigation or other legal matters within the jurisdiction of the City Council as permitted under subsection (a) (6); 4. The disposition of publicly held property as permitted under subsection (a) (2); 5. Consideration of appointment by the City Council as permitted under subsection (a) (1).
