<br />00 -199 - The following call for the meeting was read:

<br /> "Please attend a Called Meeting of the City Council to be held at the
<br />Williamsburg Hospitality House, 415 Richmond Road, Williamsburg, Virginia, on Friday,
<br />August 11, 2000 at 8:00 a.m. for the purpose of a City Council Retreat.
<br />
<br /> In addition, you may consider a motion to go into a Closed Meeting.

<br /> Motion by Mr. Whitehurst, and seconded by Mr. Moody, to go into Closed
<br />Meeting pursuant to provisions of Section 2.1-344(A) of the Code of Virginia, to
<br />or consider the following:
<br />
<br /> the acquisition or sale of real property for a public purpose, as authorized by
<br />subparagraph 3. '
<br />
<br /> investing public funds where competition or bargaining is involved, :as
<br />authorized by paragraph 4.
<br />
<br /> - prospective business expansion or location where no prior announcement has
<br />been made, as authorized by paragraph 5.
<br />
<br />The motion was adopted by unanimous vote.

<br />2.1-344.1(D) of the Code of Virginia certifying that to the best of the Council Member's
