Bernadette Hogge, Ombudsman, gave an update on items of concern presented by <br />citizens at the June 22, 2010 City Council Meeting. <br /> <br />. Chief Hargis provided an update on the Police Department. <br /> <br />10 - 362 - Non-Agenda Speakers <br /> <br />1. Terry Danaher, 413 Dinwiddie Street, informed City Council and citizens of the Coast <br />Guard City Celebration August 4-8, 2010 in Portsmouth. <br /> <br />2. John Wesley Hill, 2906 Mapleton Avenue, spoke on what he believes are civil rights <br />violations committed by the Police Department. <br /> <br />3. Kathleen Yuhas, 454 Douglas Avenue, spoke in opposition to the proposed <br />development of the former Port Norfolk Elementary School site by Hull's Creek <br />Property, LLC. <br /> <br />4. J. Brewer Moore, 308 Bobby Jones Drive, informed City Council of the efforts to <br />make the Battle of Craney Island part of the Virginia and National registry of <br />historical places. <br /> <br />5. Eric Wilson, 459 Douglas Avenue, spoke in opposition to the proposed development <br />of the former Port Norfolk Elementary School site by Hull's Creek Property, LLC. <br /> <br />6. Roscoe Williams, 1612 Lansing Avenue, voiced his concern with various issues in <br />his neighborhood. <br /> <br />7. Erika Nestler, 413 Douglas Avenue, spoke in opp.osition to the proposed <br />development of the former Port Norfolk Elementary School site by Hull's Creek <br />Property, LLC. <br /> <br />8. Steve Whitehead, 4419 County Street, voiced his frustration with the banner poles <br />that have not been replaced or repaired in Midtown. <br /> <br />9. Clifford Kalmbach, 3702 Magnolia Drive, wanted to know if the streets would be <br />repaved after the current construction is finished in his neighborhood. <br /> <br />10. Steve Carroll, 3112 Riveredge Drive, voiced his concern with an overbilling error by <br />the Public Utilities Department. <br /> <br />11. Margaret Windley, 443 Douglas Avenue, spoke in opposition to the proposed <br />development of the former Port Norfolk Elementary School site by Hull's Creek <br />Property, LLC. <br /> <br />On motion, meeting adjourned at 9:32 p.m. <br /> <br /> <br />Anita Y.
