March 13, 1989 373 At a called meeting of the City Council held on March 13, 1989 there were present: Mayor Gloria 0. Webb, Jack P. Barnes, Louise Lucas, Jo Herbert Simpson, George L. Manager, Steven Lieberman, City Attorney E. G. Corprew, Jr., Hanbury, II~ City *Absent: Vice Ma~or J. Robert Gray, ~Councilman James C. Hawks 89-91 - The following call for the meeting was read: "Please attend a called meeting of the City Council to be held in the Council Conference Room, 6th floor of City Hallt 801 Crawford Street, at 5:00 p.m., Monday, March-13, 1989, for purpose of a Public Work Session. In addition, you may consider a motion to go into an Executive Session. By order of the Mayor." 89-92 - The following was discussed in the Public Work Session: 1. David Stuart (Commonwealth Gas) 2. Halfway There 3. Jail Study 89-93 - Motion of Mrs. Lucas and seconded by Mr. Barnes, go into Executive Session in accordance with Section 2.1-344 of the Code of Virginia to discuss the following: 1. Condition, acquisition and use of real property for public purposes as permitted under subsection (a) (2); f 2. Consideration of~a personnel matter as permitted under subsection (a) (1).. 3. Consultation with City Attorney and briefing by staff members pertaining to actual or potential litigation or other legal matters within the jurisdiction of the School Board as permitted under subsection (a) (6); 4. The disposition of publicly held property as permitted under subsection (a) (2); 5.
