The <br />Commissioners ~of~S~BDC'have recommended that-an advisory~ <br />committee~be established from each community~ Accordingly, <br />recommend the Mayor and I repres~n~h~ City on~suc~a panel~ <br /> <br /> I am requesting your approval~of'a mo'tion'which'would <br />authorize the City's'participation on:this panel.~ <br /> <br /> Motion~of ~r~ Barnes and'secohded by Mr. Gray, to '~ <br />authorize the City's participation on panel to identify and <br />negotiate with a potential host community regarding a site for a <br />regional'jell'was adopted by unanimoUs.vote. <br /> <br /> 89-167 In accordance with Section 11-43 of the City Code, <br />the Quarterly Financial Report'for the period ended March 31, <br />1989, is~her~with~'.submitted. <br /> <br /> "Actual revenues to date stand at~62-percent of the <br />revenues estimated for the year, and 70 percent of the <br />appropriations have been expended as of March 31, 1989. During <br />the same quarte~ las% year 62 percent of the estimated revennes <br />had beene'received and ~xpenditures were 71 percent of the budggt <br />appropriations. <br /> <br /> Therefore, at this point in time revenues are ve~y~similar <br />to last year's, which came in at nearly $1 million below <br />estimates. Similar'activity should be expected for the <br />remainder of this'fiscal year, taking into account that fourth <br />quarter revenues ar~ disproportionately large and variable. The <br />freeze on expenditures and job vacancies is having a favorable <br />impact on the level of expenditures, which are running slightly <br />below last ~ear's' lege~l.
