Douglas Powell, <br />Raymond Turner <br /> <br />89-49 - <br /> <br />The City Council and~ the Planning Commission will <br />hold a Joint Public Hearing on an amendment to the <br />City Code and rezoning application. <br /> <br />(c) CA-89-2 <br /> <br />The following spoke in <br />flea markets: <br /> <br />CITY CODE AMENDMENT - A proposal to <br />amend portions of Chapter 40 of the City <br />Code (the Zoning Ordinance) pertaining <br />to flea markets, second-hand stores, <br />auction houses and similar businesses. <br /> <br /> support of the continued operations of <br /> <br />Donald McCona!%y, 2 Wherry Court <br />Chester Thorn, 6216-B Centenary Drive <br />H. L.~Riptey 4624 Kemp Drive <br />James wilcox 3709 Victory Boulevard <br />Howard Munford, 5129 Deep Creek Boulevard <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Barnes and seconded by Mr. Corprew, Jr., to <br />concur with the recommendation of the Planning Commission that <br />CA-89-2 be approved on first reading and was denied by the <br />following vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes: Barnes, Corprew~ Hawks <br /> Nays: Gray, Lucas, Simpson, Webb <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Simpson and seconded by Mr. Barnes to <br />reconsider the (Ordinance) CA-89-2 adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Banres and seconded by Mr. Corprew, Jr., to <br />concur with the recommendation: of the Planning Commission that <br />CA-89-2 be approved on first reading and was adopted by the <br />following vote. <br /> <br />Ayes: Barnes, Corprew, Hawks, Simpson <br />Nays: Gray Lucas, Webb <br /> <br />89-196 <br /> (a) Z-89-6 <br /> <br />WEST NORFOLK NEIGHBORHOOD - Rezoning <br />application of Sinclair Telecable, Inc., <br />by Robert Sinclair, to rezone property at <br />3918 Adams Street. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Barnes and seconded by Mr. Hawks to concur with <br />the recommendation of the Planning Commission to defer Z-89-6 <br />to Planning Commission meeting of August 1 and then to be heard <br />City Council,s next Public Hearing~meeting, September 11, 1989, <br />and was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br /> <br />
