.1.41 February 22. 2010 At a Called Meeting of the City Council on Monday, February 22, 2010, there were present: , -,[ Mayor James W. Holley III, Vice Mayor William E. Moody, Jr., Charles B. Whitehurst, Sr., Marlene W. Randall, Stephen E. Heretick, Elizabeth M. Psimas, Douglas L. Smith, City Manager Kenneth L. Chandler. 10 - 68 - The following call for the meeting was read: "Please attend a Called Meeting of the City Council to be held in the 6th Floor Conference Room, 801 Crawford Street, 5:00 p.m., Monday, February 22, 2010 for the purpose of a Closed Meeting. By order of the Mayor." 10 - 70 - Motion by Mr. Heretick, and seconded by Ms. Psimas, to go into Closed Meeting pursuant to provisions of Section 2.2-3711 (A)(1) of the Code of Virginia, to discuss performance of specific public officials. The subject of the meeting is employee performance. The purpose of the meeting is to permit the confidential discussion of subject. The motion was adopted by the following vote: Ayes: Heretick, Moody, Psimas, Randall, Smith, Whitehurst, Holley Nays: None Motion by Mr. Smith, and seconded by Mr. Heretick, pursuant to Section 2.2- 3712(0) of the Code of Virginia, certifying that to the best of the Council Members' knowledge during the immediately preceding Closed Meeting of the City Council: 1. Only public business matters lawfully exempted from open meeting requirements by the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, and 2. Only such public business matters as were identified in the motion, by which the Closed Meeting was convened, were heard, discussed or considered in the meeting by the City Council.
