(U~89-9.) <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Simpson and seconded by Mr. Gray the <br />following resolution was adopted andby th~ following vote: <br /> <br /> "A RESOLUTION GRANTING A USE PERMIT TO TOWNE~OINT~SQHARE <br /> ASSOCIATES TO OPERATE STORAGE WAREHOUSES AT GATEWAY DRIVE <br /> AND TWIN PINES ROAD. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Towne Point Square Associates has made <br />application pursuant to S40-71Ib) of the Code of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia~, 1988, for the g~anting of a use permit to <br />operate storage warehouses on property on the south side of <br />Gateway Drive- and east of Twin Pines Roa~; and ~ <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the applicant and the Planning Director have done <br />al/ things required to be done in connection with said <br />application; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has recommended the <br />conditional granting of a use permit for the operation of <br />storage warehouses. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by~ the Council. of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br />1. That the use for which the use permit is sought: <br /> <br /> (a) WilI~not adversely affect the health and safety of <br />persons residing or working in the nelghborhoo~ of the proposed <br />use; <br /> <br /> (b) Will not be detrimental to the public use or <br />injurious to the property and improvements of the neighborhood; <br />and <br /> <br /> (c) Will be in accordance with the purposes of the <br />Zoning Chapte~ of the City .Code <br /> <br /> 2. Towne Point Square Associates is hereby granted a use <br />permit pursuant t~ ~40-71(b) of the~ Code of the City ~o'f <br />Portsmouth, Virgln~a, 1988, to operate storage warehouses on <br />propertF on the south side of Gateway Drive and east of Twin <br />Pines Road, such area being more particularly described as <br />follows: <br /> <br />UP-89-9 <br /> <br /> BEGINNING on the east right-of-way line <br />of Twin Pines Road~a,distance of 285' + from <br />its intersection with the south right-of-way <br />line of Gateway Drive; thence easterly 750' + <br />to a point; thence southerly 25'; thence <br />westerly 760.~ t~ the eas~t right-of~way~ine <br />of Twin Pines Road; thence northerly along <br />s~aid.lin~e 25~ to the point.of beginning, .~ <br /> <br /> <br />
