Robert Gray, <br />Jack P. Barnes, E. G. Co~prew~ Jr.',~James C. Hawks~, <br />L. Louise Lucas, J. Herbert Simpson, George L. Hanbury, <br />II, City Manager, Stuart E. Ka~z-,. City Attorney <br /> <br /> 89-384- The following call fo'r the meeting was ~read: <br /> <br /> "Please attend a called meeting of the City Council to be <br />held in the Council Conference Room, 6th floor of City Hall, <br />801 Crawford Street, at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 26, 1989, <br />for the purpose of a Public Work Session. <br /> <br /> In addition you may consider a motion to go into an <br />Executive Session. <br /> <br /> By order of the Mayor." <br /> <br /> The following items were discussed in the Public Work <br />Session: <br /> <br />1. Midtown Tunnel - reversible lan~s <br />2. City Manager requested City Attorney research legal <br /> issue of City Treasurer's request. <br />3. City Manager to report back to Council on crime <br /> increase issues identified in recent newspaper <br /> article. <br />4. City Manager briefed Council on staff discussions <br /> regarding~response to Hugo. <br />5. Greekfest expenses and Mutual Aide Agreement and <br /> liability issues. <br /> <br /> Motion of Vice Mayor Gray and seconded by Mrs. Lucas, to <br />go into an Executive Session in accordance with Section 2.1-344 <br />of the Code of Virginia to discuss the following: <br /> <br /> 1. Prospective businesses or industries where no previous <br />announcement haS been made of the businesses' or industries' <br />interest in locating in the following sections of the city: <br /> <br />(a) West Norfolk; <br />(b) PortCentre; <br />(c) River Pointe; <br />(d) The western portion of the City; and <br />(e) The southern portion of the City; <br /> <br />as permitted under subsection (A) (5). <br /> <br /> 2. The disposition of publicly held property in <br />PortCentre as permitted under subsection (A) (3); <br /> <br /> 3. The condition or use of <br />purpose which is held by PRHA as <br />(A) (3). <br /> <br />real property for public <br />permitted under subsection <br /> <br /> <br />
