December 1t, 19~89 At a called meeting of the City Council held on December 11, 1989, there were present: Mayor Gloria O. Webb, Jack P. Barnes, J. Robert Gray, L. Louise Lucas, J. Herbert Simpson, George L. Hanbury, II, City Manager, Stuart E. Katz, City Attorney Absent: James C. Hawks, E. G. Corprew, Jr. 89-464 The following call for the meeting was read: "Please attend a called meeting of the City Council to be held in the Council Conference Room, 6th floor of City Hall, 801 Crawford Street, at 4:30 p.m., Monday, December 11, 1989, for the purpose of an Executive Session. By order of the Mayor." Motion of Mr. Barnes and seconded by Mr. Simpson, to go into Executive Session pursuant to the provisions of Section 2.1-344 of the Code of Virginia, for the purpose of: (1) Consultation with the City Attorney and briefing by staff members pertaining to a legal matter regarding the Department of Public Utilities as permitted under Subsection (A) (7): (2) Consideration of disposition of publicly held property located in the Churchland Area of the City as permitted under Subsection (A) (3); real (3) Consultation with legal counsel and briefing by staff members involving King's Crossing as permitted under SUbsection (A) (7); (4) Consideration of the condition and use of real property for public purpose in the Churchland area of the City as permitted under Subsection (A) (3); (5) Consultation with the City Attorney and briefing by staff on a legal matter involving the Western Freeway as permitted under Subsection (A) (7); (6) Consideration of appointments to Boards and Commissions by the City Council as permitted under Subsection (A) (1). Motion adopted by unanimous vote. \ The meeting re-convened at 7:00 p.m. On motion of Mrs. Lucas and seconded by Mr.Barnes, pursuant to Section 2.1-344 of the Code of Virginia certifying that to the best of the Council Member's knowledge during the immediately preceding Executive Session of the City Council: t. Only public business matters lawfully exempted from open meeting requirements by the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, and 2. Only such public business matters as were identified in the motion by which the Executive meeting was convened, we heard, discussed or considered in the meeting by the City Council.
