In addition, th~!~i~m~9!9~Development Block Grant <br />Funds will ensure the continuation of special security patrols <br />in the pU'blic hou~sing neighborho°ds~ The. Department of <br />Rehabilitative Services has assumed programming responsibility:: <br />for special vocatiohal training for recovering addicts as <br />recommended by the Mayor's Drug Task Force. Also, the Community <br />Services Board will absorb the cosf .for its PRID'E program at the <br />present level of service to the ydUthsiof Ida Barbour and Jeffry <br />wilson, although the original state g~ant! has ceaSed. <br /> <br /> The City departments and the Oversight Drug Committee must <br />be applauded fOr fheir dedicated and creative efforts:in an <br />aggressive attack o~'illegal drugs in the City. As a result of <br />their combine~d endeavors, Portsmouth is no longer the "Drug <br /> Hampt ~ ~ .~ <br />Center of on. Roads." ' <br /> <br /> <br />
