<br /> Jack H. Ryder, 3713 Shoreline Drive, Acting
<br />Superintendent, PortsmoUth Public Schools, spoke in opposition
<br />to cuts in'the School Budget, & requested sufficient funds to
<br />give school employees raises comparable with C~ty employees.
<br />
<br /> Grant J. Creekmore, 9 Pennington Boulevard, Chairman.,
<br />School Board, spoke against cuts in the School budget.
<br />
<br /> Ralph:W. Buxton,-3117 Garland Drive, member:of Portsmouth
<br />School Boards spoke against cuts in the School budget.
<br />
<br /> Bernard Griffin, Sr., 1343 Watson Street, ~emb~r of- -
<br />Portsmouth Scho~t Board, spoke against~cuts in the School
<br />budget.
<br />
<br /> David Norman, Director of Community Services Board, spoke
<br />in support of continuation and expansion of the PRIDE drug
<br />education programs in the budget.
<br />
<br /> Bob Linton, 225 Cypress Road, spoke concerning the
<br />inequality of the boat tax rate compared to the tax rate on
<br />other recreational' vehicles.
<br />
<br /> George D. Pond, Jr., 5604 Pond Lane, spoke concerning the
<br />inequality of the boat tax rate compared to the personal
<br />property tax rate.
<br />
<br /> Gordon W. S~elton, 10 Crawford Parkway, repre'sentlng
<br />Portsmouth Marina Owners, spoke against the proposed increase in
<br />the boat tax rate.
<br />
<br /> Robin F. Delane, 100 7th Street, representing the
<br />Portsmouth Education Association, spoke in suppor~ of full
<br />funding for the School Board budget.

<br /> Lloyd W. Beazley, 3186 Reese Drive, representing the
<br />Portsmouth Professional Firefighters & Portsmouth Police
<br />Department Gosport Lodge, spoke concerning the retirees need to
<br />have the City pay their hospitalization'; ~Fire and Police
<br />Retirement System should not bear the cost of Workers'
<br />Compensation and management expenses; ICMA retirement should be
<br />shown as part of individual's salary.

<br />Lodge 9'20, spoke in opposition to the use of the Fire and Police
<br />Retirement System fund being used to pay consultation fees and
<br />Workers' Compensati~n~
