368 <br /> <br /> September 18, 1990 <br /> <br /> Drew Terry, 536 South Street, representing self, spoke in <br />opposition to the building of the additional units at this time <br />due to the current vacancy rate in the existing buildings. Also <br />requested that a privacy fence or landscaping be erected across <br />the parking Sot to prevent its use as a cut-through for foot <br />traffic and~to prevent further dumping of debris on the <br />property. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Epperson, and seconded by Mr. King~ to defer <br />the Group Housing Permit to the October 9, 1990 meeting, and was <br />adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br />(b) CA-90-8 <br /> <br />CODE AMENDMENT - SUBDIVISION ORDINANCE - <br />A proposal to amend certain sections of <br />Chapter 33 (Subdivision Ordinance) with <br />regard to the following: FINAL PLAT <br />REQUIREMENTS; pertaining-to conveyance <br />of common or shared'easements to public <br />service corporations and Provisions or <br />certifications and statements; <br />PRELIMINARY PLAT REQUIREMENTS, <br />pertaining to the coordination of <br />streets; DEFINITIONS OF SUBDIVISION AND <br />MINOR SUBDIVISION; AND MINOR SUBDIVISION <br />STANDARDS. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. <br />concur with the recommendation of the Planning Commission <br />CA-90-8 be approved on first reading and was adopted by <br />unanimous vote. <br /> <br />Epperson, and seconded by Mr~ Clemens, to <br /> that <br /> <br />- UNFINISHED BUSINESS - <br /> <br /> 90-300 Motion of Mr. Hawks, and <br />following ordinance, deferred from the <br />14, 1990, was adopted on final reading, <br />vote: <br /> <br />seconded by Mr. King, the <br />regular meeting of August <br /> and by the following <br /> <br />"AN ORDINANCE CLOSING A PORTION'OF MANCHESTER ROAD." <br /> <br />Ayes: Clemens, Corprew, Epperson, Hawks, King, Lucas, <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />Webb <br /> <br /> 90-306 Motion of Mr. Hawks, and seconded by Mr. Epperson, <br />to authorize the City to proceed with the Harrison Street <br />portion of the p~oject with Virginia Power, and was adopted on <br />final ~eadi~g, and by the following vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes: Ctemons, Corprew, Epperson, King, Hawks, Lucas, Webb <br /> Nays: None <br /> <br /> 90-339 Motion of Mrs. Lucas, and seconded by Mr. King, <br />the following resolution, deferred from the regular meeting of <br />August 14, 1990, was adopted on final reading, and by the <br />follow%ng vote: <br /> "A'RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR CLOSING A PORTION OF <br />WALDRON AVENUE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, John H. and Mary W. Sedberry have made <br />application t~ vacate, close and discontinue the <br />hereinafter~described portion of Watdron Avenue, and it <br />appearing tha~ Notice of Application-and Request for Appointment <br />of Viewers has been advertised as required by law. <br /> <br /> <br />
