<br />480 <br /> <br />April 14. 2009 <br /> <br />09 - 206 - Report on Pending Items <br /> <br />~ Mr. Whitehurst asked for a report on concerns from citizens that attended the March <br />24,2009 City Council Meeting. <br /> <br />. Bernadette Hogge, Ombudsman, gave an update on items of concern presented by <br />citizens at the March 24, 2009 City Council Meeting. <br /> <br />. City Manager Chandler informed citizens that Mr. Don Horton had been selected as <br />the new Fire Chief. <br /> <br />09 - 207 - Non-Agenda Speakers <br /> <br />1. Delores Knight, 33 Kennedy Drive, presented City Council with a petition asking to <br />reconsider moving the Cradock Library. <br /> <br />2. Sonja Williams, 1124 Virginia Avenue D, voiced her concern with what she believes <br />is a lack of communication with a city department in getting a youth baseball team <br />prepared for the upcoming season. <br /> <br />3. Tyrone Harris, 3201 Clover Hill Drive, asked for City Council's help in getting a youth <br />baseball team prepared for the upcoming season. <br /> <br />4. James Sweet, 36 Pollux Circle, spoke in opposition to the proposed tax rate <br />increase. <br /> <br />5. G. W.
