January 7, 1991 <br /> <br />- UNFINISHED BUSINESS - <br /> <br />90-450 <br /> <br />CA-90-7 <br /> <br />CODE AMENDMENT - Revised Zoning <br />Ordinance - A eomprehensive revision <br />of Chapter 40 of the City Code. <br />(Deferred from the Public Hearings of <br />November 13 and December 10, 1990) <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Epperson and seconded by Mr. Hawks, that <br />CA-90-7 be approved to include the provisions of Attachments <br />1-7t changes on pages 97 and 98 as indicated in City Council's <br />discussion, the provisions of Attachment 9, and the provisions <br />of Alternative 1 of Attachment 10, and to delete the Planned <br />Unit Development (PUD) Article, was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br />90-478 <br /> <br />(b) Z-90-12 <br /> <br />NORTH CHURCHLAND NEIGHBORHOOD - <br /> <br />Consideration of rezoning property <br />near the Towne Point Road/Western <br />Freeway intersection. (Deferred from <br />the Public Hearing of December 10, <br />1990) <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Clemons and seconded by Mr. Corprew, to <br />rezone the property from C-1 to C-2. The motion was defeated <br />by a 5-2 (Clemons, Corprew) vote and the recommendation of the <br />Planning Commission was upheld. <br /> <br />(c) Z-90-10 <br /> <br />NORTH CHURCHLAND NEIGHBORHOOD - <br /> <br />Rezoning application of Chevron <br />U.S.A., Inc., by Richard B. Garrett <br />of Langley & McDonald, for property <br />at 3525 Towne Point Road. (Deferred <br />from the Public Hearing of December <br />10, 1990) <br /> <br /> Bill Cashman, representing Chevron U.S.A., Inc., 5544 <br />Greenwich Road, Virginia Beach, VA spoke in support of the <br />rezoning application. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mrs. Lucas and seconded by Mr. King, to concur <br />with the recommendation of the Planning Commission that Z-90-10 <br />be denied.
