January 7, 1991 - UNFINISHED BUSINESS - 90-450 CA-90-7 CODE AMENDMENT - Revised Zoning Ordinance - A eomprehensive revision of Chapter 40 of the City Code. (Deferred from the Public Hearings of November 13 and December 10, 1990) Motion of Mr. Epperson and seconded by Mr. Hawks, that CA-90-7 be approved to include the provisions of Attachments 1-7t changes on pages 97 and 98 as indicated in City Council's discussion, the provisions of Attachment 9, and the provisions of Alternative 1 of Attachment 10, and to delete the Planned Unit Development (PUD) Article, was adopted by unanimous vote. 90-478 (b) Z-90-12 NORTH CHURCHLAND NEIGHBORHOOD - Consideration of rezoning property near the Towne Point Road/Western Freeway intersection. (Deferred from the Public Hearing of December 10, 1990) Motion of Mr. Clemons and seconded by Mr. Corprew, to rezone the property from C-1 to C-2. The motion was defeated by a 5-2 (Clemons, Corprew) vote and the recommendation of the Planning Commission was upheld. (c) Z-90-10 NORTH CHURCHLAND NEIGHBORHOOD - Rezoning application of Chevron U.S.A., Inc., by Richard B. Garrett of Langley & McDonald, for property at 3525 Towne Point Road. (Deferred from the Public Hearing of December 10, 1990) Bill Cashman, representing Chevron U.S.A., Inc., 5544 Greenwich Road, Virginia Beach, VA spoke in support of the rezoning application. Motion of Mrs. Lucas and seconded by Mr. King, to concur with the recommendation of the Planning Commission that Z-90-10 be denied. The motion was passed by a 6-1 (Corprew) vote.
