532 <br /> February 261 :t991 <br /> <br /> The recomme~de~,v.o~ing location for Precinct 25 is the <br />Tidal Wave Masonic Lodge at. 218 Witliamson ROad at Merrimac <br />Point. With your approval of the attached ordinance, the City <br />Attorney will take the necessary steps to request approval of <br />the change by the Department of ~Justice in accordance ~with the <br />Voting Rights Act. Additionally, the requirement for <br />advertised"notice h~s~been met. ~ <br /> <br /> I, therefore, recommend your adoption of the attached <br />ordinance.relocating the voting site of Precinct 25 as~ <br />requested by the Electoral Board." ~ ~ <br /> <br /> Motio~ of M~ Hawks and seconded-'by Mr.~King, to concur <br />with the recommendation of the City Manager, that the following' <br />ordinance be deferred to the City Council meeting of March 12, <br />1991, by unanimous vote2 <br /> <br /> "AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 10 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY <br /> OF PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA, 1988, BY AMENDING ARTICLE III, <br /> SECTION 10-108 PERTAINING TO A CHANGE IN VOTING PLACE FOR <br /> PRECINCT 25." <br /> <br /> 91-69 L Letter from the City Manager recommending adoption <br />of an ordinance to amend Chapter 25 of the Code of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, 1988, by amending Sections 25-94 and <br />25-148 (2), perta'ining to Parks and Recreation fees. <br /> <br /> "In the past, the~Department of Parks and Recreation has <br />been challsnged regarding golf fees for students with annual <br />passes at Sleepy Hole Golf Course. The intention ls~that-a~l,- <br />students with unlimited annual passes be restricted on weekends <br />to use of the course after 2:00 p.m. This policy is in place <br />to enable the course to maximize revenues during this peak <br />period of demand. <br /> <br /> The attached ordinance will clarify tkis po~i:cy and <br />provide for consistency in the Code regarding annual student <br />fees. I, therefore, recommend your approval of the ordinance <br />revisions." <br /> <br /> Motion'~O~'Mr~. Hawk's and seconded 'by Mr. King, that the <br />ordinance be approved. <br /> <br /> Substitute motion of Mr. Hawks and seconded by Mrs. Lucas <br />that the following ordinance be deferred to the City Council <br />meeting of March 12, 1991, by unanimous vote. <br /> <br /> "AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 25 OF THE CODE OF TH~ ~ITY <br />OF PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA, 1988~, BY AMENDING SECTION 25~14.8.(2)(u) <br />AND (v), PERTAINING TO PARKS AND RECREATION FEES." <br /> <br /> 91-70 Letter from the City Manager recommending adoption <br />of an ordinance to amend Chapter 3 of the Code of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, 1988, by amending Sections 3-184, <br />3-185(c), 3-186(b), 3-186(c), 3-186(d), 3-188(a) and 3-188(e) <br />thereof, and by enacting Sections 3-190, 3-191, 3-192, and <br />3-193 pertaining to Bingo Games and Raffles. <br /> <br /> <br />
