With your approval of the attached ordinance, the City Attorney will take the necessary steps to request approval of the change by the Department of ~Justice in accordance ~with the Voting Rights Act. "In the past, the~Department of Parks and Recreation has been challsnged regarding golf fees for students with annual passes at Sleepy Hole Golf Course. The intention ls~that-a~l,- students with unlimited annual passes be restricted on weekends to use of the course after 2:00 p.m. This policy is in place to enable the course to maximize revenues during this peak period of demand. The attached ordinance will clarify tkis po~i:cy and provide for consistency in the Code regarding annual student fees. I, therefore, recommend your approval of the ordinance revisions."
