November 7 2000 <br /> <br /> At a Called Meeting of the City Council on Tuesday, November 7, 2000, there <br />were present: <br /> <br />Mayor James VV. Holley Ill, Vice Mayor Bernard D. Griffin, Sr., Cameron C. Pitts, <br />Ward Robinett, Jr., J. ThOmas Berm III, *William E. Moody, Jr., Charles B. <br />Sr. <br /> <br />00 - 265 - The following call for the meeting was read: <br /> <br /> "Please attend a Called Meeting of the City Council to be held in the City <br />Council's COnference Room, 801 Crawford Street, 6th floOr, 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, <br />November 7, 2000, for the purpose of a Closed Session. <br /> <br />By order of the Mayor." <br /> <br />00 - 266 - Motion by Mr. Pitts, and seconded by Mr. Whitehurst, to go into Closed <br />Meeting pursuant to provisions of Section 2.1-344(A) of the Code of Virginia, to discuss <br />or consider the following: <br /> <br />employees personnel matters. <br /> <br />The motion was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Whitehurst, and seconded by Mr. Pitts, pursuant to Section <br />2.1-344.1(D) of the Code of Virginia, certifying that to the best of the Council Member's <br />knowledge during the immediately preceding Closed Meeting of the City CounCil: <br /> <br />1. Only Public business matters lawfully exempted from open meeting <br /> requirements by the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, and <br /> <br />= <br /> <br />Only such public business matters as' were identified in the motion by .which <br />the Closed Meeting was convened, were heard, discussed or considered in <br />the meeting by the City Council. <br /> <br />The motion was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br />On motion, meeting adjourned at 7:15 p.m. <br /> <br />Minutes prepared by: <br /> <br />Victor H.
