Katz, City Attorney. <br /> <br />91-139 - The?foL~o~wi~g ~alL:for~ the:~eeting was read:~ <br /> <br /> "Please attend a called meeting of the City~ffo~ncil~to be <br />held in the City Council Conference Room, 6th floor of City <br />Hall, 801 Crawford Stree%, Tuesday, April 23, 1991, at 4:45 <br />p.m., for the purpose of a P~blic Work Session. <br /> <br /> In addition you may consider a motion to go into an <br />Executive Session. <br /> <br />By order of the Mayor." <br /> <br /> 91-140 - The following items were discussed in the Public <br />Work Session: <br /> <br />1. Budget Presentation <br /> <br />2. Automated/Semi-Automated Refuse Collection System <br /> <br />3. Quarterly Financial Report <br /> <br /> 4. Council reviewed the appeal by Mr. Andrew J. Kalis of <br />the Commission of Architectural Review's decision concerning <br />property located at 607 London Boulevard. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mrs. Lucas and seconded by Mr. King, to uphold <br />the decision by the Commission of Architectural Review and was <br />approved by unanimous vote. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mrs. Lucas and seconded by Mr. Hawks to go into <br />Executive Session pursuant to provisions of Section 2.1-344 of <br />the Code of Virginia for the following: <br /> <br /> (1) Consideration of appointments to Boards and <br />Commissions by the City Council as permitted under Subsection <br />(a) (1); <br /> <br /> (2) Consideration of the performance of the appointees of <br />City Council as permitted under Subsection (A) (1). <br /> <br />Motion was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Epperson and seconded by Mrs. Lucas pursuant <br />to Section 2.1-344.1 of the Code of Virginia certifying that to <br />the best of the Council Member's knowledge during the <br />immediately preceding Executive Session of the City Council: <br /> <br />Only public business matters lawfully exempted from <br />open meeting requirements by the Virginia Freedom of <br />Information Act, and <br /> <br />Only such public business matters as were identified <br />in the motion by which the Executive Session was <br />convened, were heard, discussed or considered in the <br />meeting by the City Council. <br /> <br />Motion was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br />r-~] <br /> <br /> <br />
