586 April 30, 1991 At a calle~meeting of the City Council held on Tuesday, April 30, 1991, there were present: Mayor Gloria O. Webb, Vice Mayor E. G. Corprew, Jr., Johnny M. Clemons, John H. Epperson, James C. Hawks, Lee E. King, L. Louise Lucas, V. Wayne Orton, City Manager, Stuart E. Katz, City Attorney. 91-157 The following call for the meeting was read: "Please attend a Call Meeting of the City Council to be held in the Roundtable Conference Room, 6th floor of City Hall, 801 Crawford Street, at 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 30, 1991, for the purpose of a Public Work Session. In addition you may consider a motion to go into an Executive Session. By order of the Mayor." Mr. Orton briefed Council on the change in the roll back amounts for Business License TaxM~. Motion of Mr. Epperson and seconded by Mr. Clemons, to go into an Executive Session pursuant to provisions of Section ~ 2.1-344 of the Code of Virginia fo~ the following: ~ (1) Consultation with the City Attorney and staff regarding items of actual litigation as permitted under Subsection (A) (7); (2) Consideration of the performance of the appointees of City Council as permitted under Subsection (A) (1). Motion was adopted by unanimous vote. Motion of Mr. Epperson and seconded by Mr. King, pursuant to Section 2.1-344.1 of the Code of Virginia certifying that tc the best of the Council Member's knowledge during the immedi- ately preceding Executive Session of the City Council: 1. Only public business matter lawfully exempted from open meeting requirements by the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, and Only such public business ma~ters as were identified in the motion by which the Executive Session was convened, were heard, discussed or considered in ~the meeting by the City Council.
