r~ay 13, 1991 At a called meeting of the City Council held on May 13, 1991 there were present: MaYor~Gloria O. ~ebb, Vice Mayor E. G. Corprew, Jr., Johnny M~ Clemens, John H. Epperson, James C. Hawks, Lee E. King, L. Louise Lucas, V. Wayne_Orton, City Manager, StUart E. Katz, City Attorney 91- 166 - The following call for the meeting was read: "Please attend a Called Meeting of held in the City Council Conference Room, 801 Crawford Street, Monday, May 13, 1991, purpose ~f a Public Work Session. I~ ~ddition you may consider a motion Session. the Ci.ty CounCil to be 6th floor of City Hall, at 4:45 p.m. for the to go into an Executive By order of the Mayor." The following items were discussed in the Public Work Session: 1. ~Small & Minority Businesses 2. Flexible Benefits Plan 3. PortCentre Underground Wiring 90-~67 On motion of Mr. Epperson and seconded by Mr. Clemens, to go into Executive Session pursuant to Seczion 2.1-344 of the C~de of Virginia for the following: 1. iConsideration of appointments to Boards and Con, missions by the Ciity Council as permitted under Subsection (A) (1); 2. iConsideration of a personnel matter regardin e appolntee!s of C~ty Council as permitted under Subsection(A) (1). MotiOn was adopted by unanimous vote. On mDtion of Mr. Epperson and seconded by Mr. Hawks, pursuant to the pr~vi~ions of Section 2.1-344.1 of thc Code of Virginia certifyin~ that to the best of the Council Member's knowledge during ~h~ immediately preceding Executive Session of t City C°uncii: ~nly public business matters lawfully exempted rom open meeting r~quirements by the Virginia Freedom of Info~ a ion Act, and 2.
