May 28, 1991 <br /> <br /> I, therefore, recommend the transfer of $96,522 from the <br />Grants Contingency Account for the 1991 Summer Lunch Program." <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. King and seconded by Mrs. Lucasf to transfer <br />the recommended money from the Grants Contingency Account for <br />the 1991 Summer Lunch Program, and was adopted by the following <br />vote: <br /> <br />Ayes: Clemons, Corprew, Epperson, King, Hawks, Lucas, Webb <br />Nays: None <br /> <br /> 91-197 Letter from the City Manager recommending adoption <br />of a motion to award .a contract to the low bidder, CPG, <br />Incorporated, in the amount of $10,975 for the installation of <br />storm drainage pipe between Shamrock and Early Drives in the <br />Elizabeth Manor area. <br /> <br /> "On June 12, 1990 funds were appropriated for the <br />installation of drainage improvements and acquisition of <br />easements between Shamrock and Early Drives in Eli'zabeth <br />City staff has recently succeeded in having all required <br />drainage easements dedicated. <br /> <br />Manor. <br /> <br /> Bids were received on May 14, 1991 for the installation of <br />storm drainage pipe in this area as outlined in Attachment 1. <br />The bids received were very competitive and reflective of the <br />current bidding climate. The total anticipated project cost <br />was calculated as follows: <br /> <br />Construction Contract <br />Administration <br />Contingencies <br /> <br />(CPG, Inc.) <br /> <br />$10,975.00 <br />$ 3,800.00 <br />$ 2,725.00 <br /> <br />TOTAL ANTICIPATED PROJECT COST <br /> <br />$16,700.00 <br /> <br /> The low bidder, CPG, Inc., has successfully completed work <br />for the City in the past. Sufficient funds remain from the <br />original appropriation to complete this work. While the cost of these <br />improvements is to be shared equally between the City and the <br />developer, it is the City's responsibility t.o contract for the <br />improvements which will include curb and gutter, brick sidewalks <br />on the west side, colonial lighting, and the addition of trees. <br /> <br /> The overall project schedule requires that we issue a <br />notice to proceed with these improvements .by June 21, 1991. <br />order to meet this schedule, bids to complete Water Street <br />improvements <br /> <br /> <br />
