<br />September 23. 2008 <br /> <br />(n) The tower shall be operated in compliance with all applicable codes, ordinances, <br />and regulations of federal, state, and local governments. <br /> <br />(0) The applicant shall obtain all required licenses and permits before operation and <br />these licenses and permits shall remain in effect during the operation of the <br />establ ishment. <br /> <br />(p) Taxes and fees associated with the property shall be paid when due. <br /> <br />(q) This use permit shall be for the entire parcel to allow the applicant the ability to <br />expand in the future. <br /> <br />4. REVOCATION OF PERMIT: Violation of any of the above conditions may <br />serve as grounds for revocation of the use permit by the City Council." <br /> <br />Ayes: Heretick, Moody, Psi mas, Randall, Smith, Whitehurst, Holley <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />Motion by Ms. Psi mas, and seconded by Mr. Moody, to adopt the following <br />ordinance approved on first reading at the September 9, 2008 meeting, and was <br />adopted by the following vote: <br /> <br />08-373 (e): <br />"ZONING AMENDMENT ORDINANCE Z-08-06." <br /> <br />Ayes: Moody, Psimas, Randall, Smith, Whitehurst, Holley <br />Nays: None <br />Abstain: Heretick (Mr. Hunter is a client of his law firm) <br /> <br />- City Manager's Report - <br /> <br />08 - 404 - Adoption of an ordinance accepting a grant in the amount of $50,478 from the <br />Bureau of Justice Assistance of the U.S. Department of Justice and appropriating said <br />amount in the FY 2008-2009 Grants Fund for use by the Portsmouth Police Department <br />to purchase technology and equipment. Vision Principle: Thriving Neighborhoods and <br />a Sense of Community and Bold New Directions. <br /> <br />Background: <br />. The Portsmouth Police Department has received grant funding of $50,478 from <br />the Department of Justice - Bureau of Justice Assistance to provide funds for <br />technology and equipment. <br /> <br />Discussion: <br />. The FY 2007 Justice Assistance Grant will be used to provide funding for <br />technology and equipment initiatives that will improve the department's ability to <br />respond to public safety incidents within the City. <br /> <br />Financial Impact: <br />. There is no cash match required. <br /> <br />Staff Recommends: <br />Adoption of ordinance. Vision Principle: Thriving Neighborhoods and a Sense of <br />Community and Bold New Directions. <br /> <br />Next Steps Following Council Action: <br />. The Chief of Police or his designee will provide grant management and oversight. <br /> <br />Motion by Mr. Moody, and seconded by Mr. Heretick, to adopt the following <br />ordinance, and was adopted by the following vote: <br />
