July 23, ~991 WHEREAS, Frederick D. Hobby, Associate Administrator of Portsmouth General Hospital, has made application pursuant to Section 40-43.1 of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, 1988, as~amended, for granting cf a use permit to operate a'hes~it~ a~ 850 Crawferd Parkway, Portsmouth, Virginia; WHEREAS, the applicant and all things required to be done application; and the Planning Director have done in connection with said WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has recommended the granting of said use permit~ NOW, T~EREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: 1. That the use for which the use permit hereinafter described is sought: (a) Will not adversely affect the health and safety of persons residing or working in the neighborhood of the proposed use; (b) Will not be detrimental to the public use or the property or improvements in the neighborhood; (c) Will be provided with sufficient landscaping compatibility with surrounding uses; (d) Will be a project that will be developed according to a plan for parking, driveways, and curb cuts which will provide for safe and convenient traffic movement; and (e) Will be in accordance with the purposes of the Zoning Chapter of the City Code. 2. That Portsmouth General Hospital is hereby granted a use permit pursuant to Section 40-43.1 of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, 1988, to operate a hospital at 850 Crawford Par~way,~said property being more particularly described a's follows: '~ injurious to to insure UP-91-12 Beginning at the northeast corner of Crawford Parkway and Fort Lane; thence easterly along the north right-of-way of Crawford Parkway 486.63' tO a point; thence norther.ly 191.65'; thence easterly 173.01' to the west right-of-way of Effingham Street; %hence ~O~h alan§ Safd right-of-way 193.52' to the property line of ~h~ U~S'.
