August 27, 1991 Ayes: Nays: That portion of Barclay Avenue (formerly Rose Avenue) beginning at a point 130 feet, more or less, northwest from the intersection of Barclay Avenue and Heorge Washington ~ighway as shown on the plat of Garden.Homes.recorded in the Clerk's Office of the Circuit'C6urt of the City of Chesapeake, Virginia in Map Book 21 at Page 68 and 69; and from thence in a northwesterly direction a distance of 91 fee%, more or less, to a point parallel with the western boundary of ParceI 10 as shown on Tax Map 464. Letter from the City Manager recommending a motion transferring $20,000 from the Grants Account~ for landscaping for the new Churchland High The State Department of Forestry has notified the City that the grant application for the Tree Planting Education System has been approved. The grant provides matching funds of up to $10,000 which will be reimbursed upon submittal of verification of the expenses to the State. "On June 25, 1991, the City Council adopted a resolution endorsing the application to the State Forestry Service for a g~ant to fund a Tree Planting Education system for the new Churchland High School. I am pleased to inform you that the State has approved our application. The total grant is for $20,000 with the City's share amounting to $10,000 and the State providing the remaining $10,000. The City's matching funds will be provided from the existing appropriations in<the high school project~ It is therefore requested that a motion to transfer $20,000 from the Grants Contingency Account be approved to move forward with this grant. The Director of Public Works recommends this project. I, therefore, concur and recommend your approval of the motion to transfer $20,000 from the Grants Contingency Account." Motion of Mr. Hawks and seconded by Mr. Epperson, to authorize the transfer of $20,000 from the Grants Contingency Account as requested, and was adopted by the following vote.
