The grant provides <br />matching funds of up to $10,000 which will be reimbursed <br />upon submittal of verification of the expenses to the <br />State. <br /> <br /> "On June 25, 1991, the City Council adopted a resolution <br />endorsing the application to the State Forestry Service for a <br />g~ant to fund a Tree Planting Education system for the new <br />Churchland High School. I am pleased to inform you that the <br />State has approved our application. <br /> <br /> The total grant is for $20,000 with the City's share <br />amounting to $10,000 and the State providing the remaining <br />$10,000. The City's matching funds will be provided from the <br />existing appropriations in<the high school project~ It is <br />therefore requested that a motion to transfer $20,000 from the <br />Grants Contingency Account be approved to move forward with <br />this grant. <br /> <br /> The Director of Public Works recommends this project.
