227 January 21, 1992 At a called meeting of the City Council held on Tuesday, January 21, 1992, there were present: Mayor Gloria O. Webb, *Vice Mayor E. G. Corprew, Jr., Johnny Clemons, John H. Epperson, *James C. Hawks, Lee E. King, Junius Williams, V. Wayne Orton, City Manager ~ Stuart E. Katz, City Attorney 92-24 (a) - The following ~all for the meeting was read: "Please attend Called Meetings of the City Council to be held on Tuesday, January 21, 1992 and W~dnesday, January 22, 1992, at 5:00 p.m. in the City Council Chamber, 6th floor of City Hall, 801 Crawford Street, for the purpose of considering a motion to go into and Executive Session for interviewing prospective School Board members. By order of the Mayor." Motion of Mr. Clemons and seconded by Mr. King, to go into Executive Session pursuant to Section 2.1-344 of the Code of Virginia for the following: (1) Consideration of appointments to Boards and Commissions by City Council as permitted under Subsection (A) (~1). Motion adopted was adopted by unanimous vote. Motion of Mr. Epperson and seconded Mr. Williams, pursuant to Section 2.1-344.1 of the code of Virginia certifyIng that to the best of the Council Member's knowledge during the i~mediately preceding Executive Session of the City Council: Only public business matters lawfully exempted from open meeting requirements by the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, and Only such public business matters as were identified in the motion by which the Executive Session was convened, were heard, discussed or considered in the meeting by the City Council.
