:228 January 22, 1992 At a Called meeting of the'City Council held on.Wednesday, January 22, 1992, there were present: Mayor Gloria O. Webb, *Vice Mayor E. G. Corprew, Jr., John H. Epperson, Lee E. King, Junius Williams, V. Wayne Orton, City Manager, Stuart E. Katz, City Attorney Absent: Johnny M. Clemons, James C Hawks 92-24 (b) - The following call for'the meeting was read: . "Ptea~e attend Called Meetings of the City Council to be held on Tue~d~y~ January 21, 1992 and Wednesday, January 22, 1992, at 5:00 p.m. in the City Council Chamber, 6th floor of City Hall, 801 Crawford Street, for the purpose of considering a motion to go into and Executive Session for interviewing prospective School Board members. By or~er of'the Mayor." Motion of Mr. Williams and seconded by Mr. Epperson, into Executive pursuant to Sectioh 2.1-344 or,the Code of Virginia to:discuss the following: to go (1) Consideration of appointments to Boards and Commissions by City Council as permitted under Subsection (i). (A) Motio~ adopted by unanimous vote Motio~ of Mr. Williams and seconded by Mr. King, pursuant to Section 2.1-344'.1 of the code of Virginia certifying that to the best of the Council Member's knowledge during the immediately preceding Executive Session of the City Council: Only public business matters lawfully exempted from open meeting requirements by the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, and Only such public business matters as were identified in the motion by which the Executive Session was convened, were heard, discussed or considered in the meeting by the City Council. Motion adopted by unanimous vote. On motion meeting adjourned at 8:56 p.m. APPROVED Mayor * Vice Mayor Corprew arrived for meeting at 5:16 p.m.
