F~.~WilSon <br />Contractor, Inc. and Champion Fence. <br /> <br /> "In the process of approving the 1991~96 Capital <br />Improvement Plan, you also approved the redirection of prior <br />authorizations towards the renovation of Frank D. Lawrence <br />Stadium. To begin these renovations in accordance with your <br />direction, separate bids were received on April 2, 1992 for <br />demolition of the baseball portion of Frank D. Lawrence Stadium <br />and for fencing of the football field. The demolition bids <br />also included regrading and sodding of the football field. ~ The <br />bids received were competitive and favorable with today's <br />construction market (see Attachment No. 1). The total <br />anticipated project costs are calculated as follows: <br /> <br />Construction Contracts <br />(K. F. Wilson Contractor, Inc. and <br />Champion Fence, Inc., and requests an appropriation in the <br />amount of $300,000. <br /> <br /> I, therefore, concur and recommend award of the contraCts~ <br />and appropriation of the necessary funds. In accordance with <br />your direction to have~ two re'adings ~n appropriations, I ~ <br />recommend your deferral of this item until the meeting of April <br />28, 1992.
