34 7 May 6, 1992 At a Called Meeting of the City Council held on Wednesday, May 6, 1992, there were'present': Mayor G~oria O. Webb, Vice Mayor E. G. Corprew, Jr., *Johnny M. Clemens, John H. Katz~ City A~to~ey 92-161 The following call for the meeting was re~d: "Please attend a Call, ed. Meeting of t~e CiSy ~o~neil to be held on Wedn~sday, May 6, 1992 at 4:45 p.m. in the City Council Chamber, 6th floor of City Ha~, 8~01 Crawford-Stre~t; ~or the purpose of a Public Work Session concerning the City's Operating Budget and T~x Rates for fiscal year ending June'3~0, 1993. I~'addi~ion you may consi~er~a' m~tion~to ~into an executive By orde~ of the Mayor." The fol~owin~ item was discussed in the P~bti~C W~k Session: The fiscal year 1992-93 Budget. 92~162 .... Motion of~.Mr. Hawks and seconded by ~r~-K~i~ng to go into E~[ecutive Session pursuant to provisions of Section 2.1-344 of t]~e Code of Virginia for the following: (1~ Dis,~ussion or-c~nsideration 'of the salari'es.of Council appointees a: permitted under Subsection (A) (1); (2) Con ultation with the City At[Orney and briefings by staff regarding a legal matter involving publicly held property at Thames Circt~, as permitted,.' ~. under Subsection (A) (7); [3) ConSideration 'of apPointments to Boards~'and Commissions by the City ~ouncil as permitted under Subsection (A) (1).
