:378 June 8, 1992 Council held on June 8, At a called meeting of the City 1992, there were presenlt: Mayor Gloria O. Webb, *Vice Mayor E. G. Corprew, Jr., Johnny M. Clemons, John H'.~Eppers~on; James ~C.~Haw~s~ ~Lee E. King, Junius H. Williams, Jr., V. Wayne Orton, City Managert Stuart E. Katz, City Attorney 9~-180 - The following call for'the'meeting was read: "Please attend a called meeting of the City Council to !be ! held in the City Council Chamber, 6th floor of City Hall, 801 Crawford Street, at 4:45 p.m., Monday, June 8, 1992, for the purpose of a Public Work Session. In addition you may consider a motion to go into an Executive Session. By order of the Mayor." ~ The following items were discussed in the Public Work~ Session: 1. United Way Presentation 92-181 - Motion of Mr. Hawks and seconded by Mr. King to go into Executive Session pursuant to'provisions of Section 2.1-344 of the Code of Virginia for the following: (1) Discussion or consideration of the disposition of publicity held real property in he downtown and southern portions of the City as permitted under Subsection (A) (3); (2) Consideration of appointments to Boards and Commissions by the City Council as permitted under Subsection (A) (1); Motion adopted by.unanimous vote~ Motion of Mr. Williams and seconded by Mr. Hawks pursuant to Section 2.1-344.1 of the Code of Virginia certifying that to the best of the Council Member's knowledge during the immediately preceding Executive Session of the City Council: 1. Only public business matters lawfully exempted from open meeting requirements by the:Virginia Freedom of Information Act, and 2. Only such public business matters as were identified in the motion by which the ExecutiVe Session was convened, were heard, discussed or considered in the meetihg by City Council Motion adopted by unanimous vote.
