Katz~ City Attorney. <br /> <br />92-144 - The following call for the meeting was read: <br /> <br /> "Please attend a called meeting of the City Council %o be <br />held in the City Council Chamber, 6th floor of City Hall, 801 <br />Crawford Street, at 4:45 p.m., Tuesday, June 9, 1992, for the <br />p~rpose of a Public Work Session. <br /> <br /> In addition you may consider a motion to go into an <br />Executive Session. <br /> <br />By order of the Mayor." <br /> <br />92-187 - The following items were discussed in the Public Work <br />Session: <br /> <br /> 1. Presentation by Stuart Katz on ordinances for City <br />Council's Consideration. <br /> <br /> 2. Presentation by Carol Pratt on the Public Relations <br />Strategy for Stormwater concerns. <br /> <br />3. Presentation by Richard Hartman on alleys. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Clemons and seconded by Mr. King to go into <br />Executive Session pursuant to provisions of Section 2.1-344 of <br />the Code of Virginia for the following: <br /> <br /> (1) Consideration of the disposition Of public property <br />the Churchland portion of the City as permitted under <br />Subsection (A) (3); <br /> <br />in <br /> <br /> (2) Consultation with the City Attorney and briefings by <br />staff regarding a legal matter regarding interpretation of the <br />City Code and a matter of actual litigation (Hill v. City of <br />Portsmouth) as permitted under Subsection (A) (7); <br /> <br /> (3) Consideration of appointments to Boards and <br />Commissions by the City Council as permitted under Subsection <br />(A) (1). <br /> <br />MOtion adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. Clemons and seconded by Mr. King, <br />pursuant to Section 2.1-344.1 of the Code of Virginia <br />certifying that to the best of the Council Member's knowledge <br />during the immediately preceding Executive Session of the City <br />Council: <br /> <br /> (1) Only public business matters lawfully exempted from <br />open meeting requirements by the Virginia Freedom of <br />Information Act, and <br /> <br /> <br />
